System design interview question

Design a Library Book Management System

EasyLLDLLD practiceFree

Design a system to manage a library's book inventory, member accounts, and borrowing operations. The system should track books (with multiple copies), members, and borrowing/returning transactions. Key entities include Books, Members, and Borrowing Records. Members should be able to borrow books (with a limit), return books, and view their borrowing history. Important constraints: a book can have multiple copies with different availability states, members cannot borrow more than 5 books at once, overdue books incur fines, and the system must prevent borrowing of unavailable books. Consider how to model different book states (available, borrowed, reserved) and track which member has which copy.
